Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Ceder Forest – Midelt – Errachedia – Rissani – Merzouga

Our driver will pick you up at your riad at 8:00 a.m and start our Sahara desert tour from Fes through the Middle Atlas Mountains passing by Ifrane which known as the {Switzerland of Morocco}, because of its weather and houses building style, here will have our first break before we continue towards the largest Ceder Forest of Azrou; where the wild Monkeys are settled, a short stop for taking pictures then we drive to Midelt; famous by its Apple fields around the country. Probably we have lunch in this interesting city before crossing the Ziz Valley and its gorges towards Erfoud {the capital of fossils}, then to Rissani; the foundation of Alaoui dynasty which is ruling now the country, the city has a rich history since the trading time of salt in which caravan commercials were crossing the big Sahara from Mali to get to Marrakech, also the city now is considered as the biggest and the most attended market for shopping in the whole region. There are three market days a week {Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday}. So, our visit to the city will be more interesting if the tour starts on one of the previous days. We reach Merzouga Sahara Desert at the end of the day and spent the night in one of the Hotels closed to the Dunes with dinner and breakfast.

Day 2: Erg Chebbi Dunes tour – Camel Trekking – Night at the Camp

After having breakfast, we start our Merzouga tour by visiting the unique lake called Dayet Srij where different immigrant birds are settled. Then to the village of Khamlia; inhabited by black Moroccan people originally from Sudan and Mali to enjoy their live Gnawa music, after that, we continue through an adventurous road behind Erg Chebbi dunes to the archeological area of Mifis in order to observe where the Fossils and Minerals have been explored since French protectorate of Morocco. Our next stop will be with Berber Nomad Family living in a tent, we will be welcomed with a fresh Moroccan Tea and have time to discover their lifestyle by being in conversation with the family members. After a while, we say goodbye to them and drive back to the village where we will have a special meal for lunch called Berber Pizza; is a meal that you find only in the area and tasted so delicious. Then, we will have walking time in the magnificent Oasis of Hassi Labied to admire the contradiction of nature; irrigation system in which water flowing from dunes to green fields beside the golden dunes.  Back to the Hotel before starting your camel trip into the middle of the dunes in order to see the sunset, then after{ around 1h } you will arrive at the camp, you will be shown to your beautiful tent while dinner is being prepared. After dinner, you can enjoy a musical play by the staff around fire and contemplate the starry night of the Sahara Desert. The area is totally safe.

Day 3: Merzouga – Midelt – Ifrane – Fes

We will wake up early to enjoy a magnificent sunrise on the top of the dunes before having breakfast and take shower. Then, take a camel ride back to the hotel. we’ll leave for Fes through Ziz Valley and the Middle Atlas mountains passing by a number of Berber villages like; Zaida and Timhdet before we reach Ifrane the ‘Switzerland of Morocco’ then from there we get to Fes where 3 days Sahara Desert tour ends.
